The Marion Community Foundation is pleased to welcome applications for its 2010 competitive scholarship program. This year’s program will award grants from more than 40 scholarship funds including 7 new funds with awards expected to total in excess of $85,000. This is an increase of $30,000 in awards since last year.

Applications are available to all Marion County high school seniors and graduates pursuing a college education. Applications are available from the guidance counseling offices of all area high schools, from the Foundation’s offices, located inside the historic Stengel True Museum, 504 S. State St. in Marion, and online at marioncommunityfoundation.org.

Specific details on the requirements of each scholarship are available at the MCF website as well. Completed applications will be due to the Foundation’s offices on March 18. Additional information is available by calling (740) 387-9704 or sending email to marionlegacy@verizon.net.

The following is a list of scholarship funds under the stewardship of Marion Community Foundation and a description of each scholarship’s basic requirements.
