2009 City of Marion Employee of the Year

At an awards presentation on Friday, December 18th, four City employees were honored as nominees for 2009 City of Marion Employee of the Year. Of the four nominees, Todd Fields, Engineering Inspector for the Marion City Engineering Department, was selected as the 2009 City of Marion Employee of the Year.
In his nomination letter, City Engineer Jim Bischoff stated “Todd has been a valuable asset to the City since his employment began in 2005. He serves as construction inspector for the city’s major reconstruction projects, as well as daily activities which include inspecting excavation permits, serving as a liaison between the engineering department and the general public, and insuring contractors working within in the city are following the standards established by state and local officials. Todd is not afraid to take on new challenges and is willing to go the extra mile for the City.”
Todd Fields has been employed by the City of Marion for four (4) years.
