The cast and crew from this year’s summer musical are proving that “Anything Goes” when you LIVE UNITED. They will team up with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way and the Marion Community Credit Union on Saturday, June 13th to spruce up the new Family Enrichment Center on Kenmore Ave.

The project includes some yard work, scrapbooking and painting a mural on the inside as well as the outside of the building. They will also help frame some of the railroad photos that were given to the center from the credit union.

“I wanted to organize a team-building event and thought that if we could LIVE UNITED in the Marion community that would be even better,” said Johnny Steiner, Vocal Director and cast member for the show. “It is, after all, community theater!

Anything Goes is a collection of great Cole Porter songs, perfectly strung together, in a sidesplitting plot about passengers on an ocean liner in 1936. There’s no better music than Cole Porter’s, and the audience will recognize several show stoppers, including “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” “Friendship” and, of course, “Anything Goes.”

The age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications that follow are sure to intrigue the audience. This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s magical scores. Come aboard to see how all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where ANYTHING GOES!
