Boys and Girls Club Summer Program

Boys & Girls of Marion County serves some 1250 young people, ages 6-18, annually through educational, recreational, health and fitness programs. Known as The Positive Place for Kids, Boys & Girls Clubs of Marion County provides a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life enhancing programs, character development experiences, and hope and opportunity to the youth we serve. Enrollment is open for any students 5K through the eighth grade. It will be held at the YMCA Monday through Friday from June 1st—August 14th, 7:30 am to 5:30pm. Staff will not be on the premises before 7:30 am or after 5:30 pm. We will be closed the week of June 29th—July 3rd. Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided. Some of the activities for the summer include: reading, drama, nature, the arts, gym, and swimming.
The membership fee is calculated based on household income in accordance with a sliding fee scale. Membership forms must be completed and returned before your child [ren] may attend. Forms can be obtained at the Mark Street address, from the website, or the YMCA.
