Operation Community Spirit

The Steve Young Memorial Lodge, Marion Co. Fraternal Order of Police is issuing a challenge to every other union, both for private employees and public employees, to support Operation Community Spirit. Operation Community Spirit is a food drive that is being held in conjunction with the National Make A Difference Day.

The Marion FOP is challenging every union in Marion County to contribute canned food and money towards this cause. The food banks that will benefit from this event are doing a fantastic job of filling a critical need in this community and this is our best opportunity to help them. Especially when the Marion Community Foundation is going to match every dollar donated up to $10,000.

Operation Community Spirit will be held October 25th at the Marion Senior Center from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. This is a chance for everyone to help their neighbor in these troubling times. Please accept this challenge and give a little back to our community.
