MARION – Grant applications are now available for the 2008 grant season from the Marion Rotary Club--making at least $10,000 available to charitable Marion organizations and projects. Applications are due to Marion Rotary by April 30, 2008.
“The Marion Rotary Club has enjoyed a long history of service to the community. Our club and its foundation have been pleased to award grants to many deserving organizations for many years. We take our motto ‘Service above Self’ very seriously,” says Marion Rotary Club president Ronald J. Scharer.
This year’s grants are in addition to the 5-year pledge of $100,000 to the Palace Theatre for the new Palace Pavilion, which is under construction.
Completed applications are reviewed by Rotary’s Contributions Committee. Final decisions on all grants are made via Rotary’s full Board of Directors. Only 501(c)(3) organizations may apply.
Applications for Marion Rotary Club’s 2008 grants program are available by calling the Rotary office at 382-2076 or by calling Bill Probst, club secretary, at 389-4592.
