FOP Fund Raiser
The “Steve Young Memorial” Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #24 is currently conducting a phone solicitation in the Marion Community.
All monies donated during this fund raiser will be used locally. In the past the majority of the donated funds have gone to run our “Cops-n-Kids” program which provides gifts and food for the needy families during the holiday season. more...

City Mosquito Fogging
Weather conditions permitting (wind/rain) fogging for mosquitoes is scheduled city wide for Wednesday through Friday, July 9-11, 2008. Fogging will begin at dusk and residents should make sure windows are closed and consider bringing pets indoors.

Camp Invention
Camp Invention is scheduled to take place at River Valley Middle School the week of July 7-11, 2008. It is a non-profit science and creativity summer day camp sponsored by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation in Akron, Ohio, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The aim of this program and camp is to create and foster curiosity in science and channel that curiosity into creative problem solving through open-ended discovery.
Children entering grades 1-6 will spend one week enjoying exciting hands-on, cross-curriculum activities. more...

Police Announce “Click It or Ticket” Campaign
The Marion Police Department has announced its’ continued involvement in the “Click It or Ticket” Campaign, in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The aim of this two week drive is to educate the motoring public on the importance of seat belt use and to encourage compliance with state law through enforcement.
The two week campaign begins on May 19th and continues through June 1st of 2008. more...
