Local musician Johnny Steiner has been performing throughout central Ohio for well over ten years. He is a singer, actor, pianist, conductor, voice teacher, and choir director – sometimes all of these in one day!
He originally hails from Green Camp. A graduate of Elgin High School, Johnny holds a degree in music from Otterbein College.
Johnny has quite a following here in the Buckeye State. He recently starred as ʻSky Mastersonʼ in the Marion Palace Theatre production of Guys and Dolls.
On August 29th, he will once again hit the stage at his college alma mater for a concert at 2pm. Entitled Moonlight Serenade, the concert continues in Johnnyʼs tradition of singing the great American songbook. With the dreamy songs of nighttime as his theme, Johnnyʼs matinee performance will feature such tunes as Swinging on a Star, Strangers in the Night, Dream a Little Dream, Night and Day, Mister Sandman, and many many more!
If youʼve experienced his Otterbein show before, then you know youʼre in for some great entertainment including a bevy of surprise guests, lots of laughs, and some fantastic music. Moonlight Serenade will be emceed by Marionʼs George Schram, and will feature local performers Bruce Cudd, John Garnes, and Nathan Haubert. Backing up Johnny are Eileen Huston on piano, Eric Van Wagner on bass, and Marionʼs favorite drummer Dave Johnston.
The concert will be held in the main theater at Otterbein College. Admission is $12 at the door. The theater is handicap-accessible.
