Buffalo Wild Wings presents:
The 2008 United Way Wing Eating Contest. The contest begins at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 24th at Grant Middle School. Each team will consist of five contestants. At least one of the contestants must be a female. Each team entering must raise a minimum of fifty dollars in sponsorship.
The winner of the contest is the team that consumes the most HOT wings in five minutes without consuming any water or beverages.
The winning team will receive the championship trophy and the claim to fame for the next year.
Last year's team winner, the Juvenile Probation Department ate 154 wings in five minutes. Gary Reichardt, Greg Scott, Brent Gorenflo, Robin Ison and Eric Mosley finished 4 wings ahead of the Marion City Police Department and 10 wings ahead of the Grant Middle School Staff team.
The event last year raised over $2500 for the United Way of Marion County. Students from Grant Middle School raised more than $700 by selling paper links as a competition between the houses.
We invite you to join us by entering a team in the competition or simply by watching the unbelievable chaos!
