On August 14, 2008 at approximately 12:04 a.m. Marion Police Officers responded on an anonymous caller’s report that subjects had broken into a garage in the 400 block of Cherry St. Officers found signs that entry had been forced into the building and that three subjects were inside the structure.

The subjects were apprehended and stolen property was recovered from their persons. Arrested and charged with Breaking and entering; Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of Criminal Tools.

This incident is a great example of how citizens can make a difference in our community while still maintaining anonymity. Anyone with information about a crime or suspicious behavior is encouraged to call Marion Police Department Tip Line 375-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.

This matter will be forwarded to the Marion Co. Prosecutor’s Office later today for filing of formal charges.
