Ohio State trustees approve tuition raise
The Ohio State University Board of Trustees today approved a two-part increase in tuition for Columbus campus undergraduates beginning with a 3.5 percent increase for the upcoming Summer Quarter. An additional 3.5 percent increase will take effect beginning Fall Quarter for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Summer Quarter increase includes the student activity fee, which was increased during Winter Quarter 2010.
The increase marks the end of a three-year freeze that kept Ohio State’s undergraduate resident tuition at the 2006-2007 level of $8,406. The increase will bring the Columbus campus instructional fees for full-time resident undergraduates to $8,994 – a 7 percent increase. more...

A Taste of Culture – free and open the public
The Ohio State University at Marion is pleased to host the 3rd annual international festival, A Taste of Culture, Wednesday, May 12, 5-9 p.m., at the Alber Student Center on the Marion campus, 1465 Mount Vernon Avenue, Marion, Ohio.
A Taste of Culture will play host to a multitude of informational booths, live entertainment, food from around the world, arts and crafts, and short educational discussions. Bringing together the customs, traditions, color, and flavor of peoples from diverse ethnicities highlights what organizers feel made the event successful in its first two years. The Ohio State University at Marion invites the community to the Infinity Restaurant in the historic Harding Hotel, 267 West Center Street, downtown Marion, Tuesday, May 4, 7 p.m., for a free monthly community dialogue on science entitled, Science Café.
In this edition of Science Café, Dr. Greg Rose, professor in the department of geography at The Ohio State University and current dean & director of The Ohio State University at Marion, will lead a discussion on weather lore and weather oddities. more...

Marion Campus prairie plant sale slated for May 1
The Larry R. Yoder Prairie Nature Center will hold their sixth annual Prairie Plant Sale at the east side portico of Maynard Hall, Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the Ohio State Marion campus, 1465 Mount Vernon Avenue. Once you enter the campus, follow the signs for the sale and for parking.
The sale is a great opportunity to purchase native prairie plants (including wildflowers and grasses) from The Prairie Nature Center. Prairie staff will help you pick out species that fit your garden and assist you with planting tips. more...

League plays every Sunday afternoon beginning at 1:30pm
