CHAMBER COMMITTEES
Ambassadors
Volunteers responsible for Chamber member recognition and networking programs. A
one time initiation fee of $75 and annual membership dues of $20 is applicable to this
group.
Business Retention and Expansion Committee
Focus is on nurturing and providing assistance to Chamber member companies. A
communication link between business, government and economic development resources.
Human Resource Council
Regular educational and information sharing meetings of human resource
professionals. An additional annual membership fee of $80 covers the cost of lunch
meetings.
Leadership
Marion!
Participants attend nine sessions beginning with an opening
retreat in September and continuing with a one day session each
month through May. During this time, they have the opportunity
to develop and implement new leadership skills as well as learn about
the community of Marion. The program fee for participation in
the program is
$700.
Legislative Affairs Committee
Designs candidate questionnaires; evaluates responses from
candidates completed questionnaires and makes recommendation to the
Marion Area Chamber of Commerce PAC identifying candidates whose
philosophies coincide with the Chamber's mission and purpose.
Manufacturers Council
Monthly informational meetings for chief executive officers and
Plant Managers. An additional annual
membership fee of $120 is applicable and covers the cost of lunch meetings.
Marion Area
Safety Council
Regular educational meetings for those responsible for safety
in their workplace. An additional annual membership fee of $150
is applicable and covers the cost of lunch meetings.
Marion Industrial Club
Plant tours and educational meetings for those who work in or
with industry. An
additional annual membership fee of $35 is applicable to this club and
covers the cost of three banquet meals.
Women's
Business Council
Regular educational programs that encourage and assist women in
business. An additional annual membership fee of $35 is applicable to
