St. Mary Parish To Hold Public Festival

MARION – St. Mary’s Catholic Church, which has been located on North Main St. in Marion for 117 years, will hold a parish festival on August 23. Admission is free and open to the public.

Mayor Scott Schertzer is announcing that in observance of the Independence Day holiday, City Departments will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2015.

Please Note: Due to closures on Friday, City Hall’s weekly early closure day will be observed on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Therefore, on July 2, most offices in City Hall will close at 3:00 pm. Mayor Scott Schertzer is announcing that City Departments will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2015 in observance of Memorial Day. All departments in City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2015. Offices will re-open for normal business on Tuesday, May 26.

Mayor Scott Schertzer is announcing that weekly yard waste collection at curbside for 2015 will begin on Monday, April 13, 2015. The curbside pick up for yard waste generally occurs on the day following each resident’s regular trash collection day (example: Friday trash pick-up – Monday yard waste pick up). With limited personnel, this schedule may vary.
