MARION, OHIO – United Way of Marion County announced today the addition of a new assistant director. Amber Wertman joined the agency’s staff earlier this month.

Wertman brings with her extensive experience with United Way. She served as the Executive Director for United Way of Crawford County since 2013. While there she coordinated the merger of three smaller United Ways into a single countywide entity, at the same time implementing the community outcome model.

“We feel very fortunate to have found someone with Amber’s experience with the United Way brand and operating model,” said Marion County United Way Executive Director Pam Stone. “Her work with and advocacy for community investment initiatives will be a great help to us in our community investment process, even though she will be equally active in our marketing and campaign work.”

Wertman also currently serves on the Area Agency on Aging Foundation board and as a volunteer for United Way of Crawford County. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Franklin University and her associate’s degree from Marion Technical College.
