Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind Halloween costume or you’re just looking for a great deal on your next pair of jeans, stop out to Goodwill’s storefront on Marion-Mt. Gilead Road next Wednesday, October 15th and 20 percent of all sales will be donated to United Way of Marion County’s community-wide campaign.

“As an agency partner of the United Way, it is important to us to support the annual campaign and give back to the United Way for their support of our programs and services,” notes Kathy S. Wink, Marketing Director for Goodwill Industries.

Kelly Garrett, Assistant Director for United Way of Marion County says, “It’s all about LIVING UNITED. When we each do what we can, our community is strengthened. We’re proud to include Goodwill Industries in our Partner Agency lineup and the services they provide are helping to ensure Marion’s families are financially stable.”

The money raised will go toward the $1 million goal that the United Way of Marion County has committed to raise for their 2014 campaign.

Since 1936, the United Way of Marion County has been working to improve lives and strengthen our community by focusing on the building blocks for a good quality of life: Education (helping children reach their potential), Income (helping working families to become independent and financially stable), and Health (helping both children and adults to be healthy). By investing in 33 local programs at 18 different Partner Agencies, United Way is mobilizing local businesses, community organizations, governmental agencies and individuals to make a long-term measurable difference in the lives of local individuals and families.
