MARION, OHIO – Pamela Stone, Executive Director at the United Way of Marion County, was recognized for her contributions to local education with the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center’s (NCOESC) Distinguished Service Award last week during the group’s annual convocation day in Tiffin, Ohio. NCOESC is committed to offering quality programs and services that will help school districts meet their unique needs.

NCOESC Superintendent Dr. Jim Lahoski presented Stone with the award, saying that “Stone has been a passionate advocate of education in Marion County since the mid/late 1990s.”

“Pam dedicates time, planning efforts and creative brainstorming to help improve the Marion community,” noted NCOESC Deputy Terry Conley in his nomination of Stone. “With her guidance and leadership many obstacles for students, their families and educators have been removed, resulting in an improved educational opportunity for everyone. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Stone’s dedication and support as a major resource for Marion County.”

NCOESC’s Distinguished Service Award is given to those individuals who work tirelessly in their careers, in cooperation with NCOESC, to benefit the education community in a lasting way.
